Before joining the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) as a Country Programme Analyst, Mr. Mahamoudou Sawadogo was Executive Director of the Association for the Promotion of the Small-and Medium-scale Enterprise/Agriculture and Crafts (Association pour la Promotion de la Petite et Moyenne Entreprise/Agriculture et Artisanat, APME.2A). Previously, Mr. Sawadogo served in, or consulted for, various national and international development institutions including the Ministry of Social Action and National Solidarity of Burkina Faso (MASSN), the International Women’s Development Agency (IWDA) based in Australia, the SNV Netherlands Development Organisation in Burkina Faso (SNV-BF), the Volta Basin Authority (VBA) based in Burkina Faso, the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) and the United Nations University Institute for Natural Resources in Africa (UNU-INRA) both based in Ghana, and so on. A Public Policy and Management graduate from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU)’s Heinz College in Australia (https://www.heinz.cmu.edu/programs/public-policy-management-master/), Mr. Sawadogo is also currently enrolled as a PhD student in Political Science and Economics at Claremont Graduate University (https://www.cgu.edu/academics/program/political-science-economics/). Mr. Sawadogo speaks and writes French and English fluently.
