Coordination of actors: Facilitate collaboration between humanitarian, governmental and community-based organizations to ensure an effective response to water, sanitation and hygiene needs.

Planning and implementation: Develop and oversee WASH programmes and projects tailored to local needs, taking into account socio-economic and environmental contexts.

Needs assessment: Conduct field assessments to identify gaps in WASH services and prioritize interventions.

Monitoring and evaluation: Establish monitoring systems to assess the effectiveness of programs, collect data, and provide regular reports.

Capacity building: Train and support local teams and partners in WASH best practices, and promote the integration of hygiene awareness.

Advocacy and awareness-raising: Represent the WASH cluster to stakeholders, including governments, to promote the importance of access to water and sanitation.

Resource Management: Ensure effective and responsible use of financial and material resources allocated to WASH projects.

Emergency response: Be prepared to respond quickly to humanitarian or emergency crises to establish sustainable WASH solutions.

In sum, the WASH Regional Cluster Coordinator is key to ensuring equitable and sustainable access to water and sanitation, while promoting appropriate hygiene practices.

• prepare programmes and periodic reports for the implementation of the Directorate's activities
• Ensure the monitoring and evaluation of the activities carried out by the Directorate
• collecting, processing and centralizing statistical data on the activities of the Directorate
• preparing, carrying out and using the surveys necessary for the effective management of the exploitation of hydraulic resources
• Setting up and managing a documentation centre
• Contribute to all studies and research related to the knowledge of water resources, the environments that depend on them, water uses and their impacts,
• Contribute to the realization of studies on specific problems
• Develop and/or format project sheets for funding applications
• Monitor the activities of projects, programmes, NGOs and other partners in the field of water and sanitation;
• To ensure the social mobilization of the population in the context of the implementation of water and sanitation projects and programs,
• support the municipalities in the implementation of a monitoring system for the water and sanitation service;
• ensure the dissemination of statistical information on water and sanitation,
• ensure the organization of consultations and the follow-up of the implementation of recommendations
• Develop and manage a database on water and sanitation
• analyse needs and identify priority areas for intervention,
